APPLICATION & RENEWAL

  1. Will I be able to enjoy all member benefits instantly after I get my BHG Rewards Card?

Yes, you can start accumulating points instantly upon receipt of your card.

  1. How long is the BHG Rewards Card valid for?

BHG Rewards Card is valid for one year from the date of issue, while the points credited have a separate validity period of blocks of six months for earning and redemption. Please refer to illustration.

  1. Do I need to renew my BHG Rewards Card when it expires?

Yes, your BHG Rewards Card membership must be renewed (refer to Q4 on how to renew) when it expires.

  1. How do I renew my BHG Rewards Card? Is there a renewal fee?

There is no renewal fee. Your Rewards Card membership will be auto-renewed when you spend a minimum of S$500 (within the membership year). OR spend S$200 (max. 2 same-day receipts) to re-apply for a new card membership.

  1. Can I own more than one BHG Rewards Card?

No. Only one card is allowed per Card Member account.

Earn Period 1 = 1 May 2012 – 31 Oct 2012

As seen in Earn Period 1, a total of 260 points was earned. This entitles the card member to redeem a $10 BHG Rewards voucher with 250 points within the valid period.

*Any points in excess of the points redeemed will be forfeited. In this case, Points Forfeited = 260 – 250 = 10

Earn Period 2 = 1 Nov 2012 – 30 Apr 2013

Total amount spent in the membership year

= Earn Period 1 + Earn Period 2

= $280 + $600

= $880 (>$500, Membership renewed for 1 year, 559 points can be redeemed in Redemption Period 2 i.e. 1 May 2013 – 31 Oct 2013)

*Any points in excess of the points redeemed will be forfeited. In this case, Points Forfeited = 559 – 500 = 59

** If total amount spent is <$500, membership expires and all points earned are forfeited.

EARNING & REDEMPTION OF POINTS

  1. How do I earn points?

Members earn 1 point with every $1 nett amount (exclude GST & rounded down to the nearest point) at BHG stores in Singapore.

  1. How can I use my points?

Accumulate a minimum 250 points every 6 months and redeem for BHG shopping vouchers when you qualify for redemption.

  1. Are points given according to the total amount settled in each purchase?

Points earned are based on the nett total amount (exclude GST) settled in each purchase and rounded down to the nearest point. For example, if you spend a total of $8.50 for a certain purchase, points earned = 7 (amount before GST & rounded down to the nearest point)

  1. Can I accumulate several receipts to get points?

Accumulation of receipts for points issuance is not allowed. Points are awarded at point of purchase upon presentation of card.

  1. Can my points be carried forward from one earn/redemption period to another?

No. Points are earned and redeemed in every block of 6 months and cannot be carried forward from one earn/redemption period to another. They will be forfeited or expired after each 6 month earn/redemption period.

  1. How do I know how many points I have in my BHG Rewards Card?

Points will be reflected on your receipt. Alternatively, you may log on to http://rewards.bhgsingapore.com.sg to check you points OR you may present your BHG Rewards Card at the Customer Service at any BHG store to do a ‘Balance Enquiry’.

  1. How do I know when my points expire?

Points balance and expiry is reflected on your receipt.

  1. Is it possible to merge the points accumulated in the two BHG Rewards Cards owned separately by me and my friend?

No. The BHG Rewards Card is designated for individual use by the respective Card Member account only. No merging or transfer of points from different BHG Rewards Card Member account is allowed.

  1. If I fail to present my BHG Rewards Card at the time of purchase, can I get the points re-credited to my account by presenting the receipt at a later time?

No. The BHG Rewards Card is the only proof of your right to enjoy the benefits. The verification mechanism is activated once your card is swiped on our machine during the transaction process and the card is read successfully. Even if you present your BHG Rewards Card together with the receipt at a later time, we are unable to credit the points to your account for your previous purchase. Please remember to bring your BHG Rewards Card with you whenever you shop at our stores.

  1. May I share my BHG Rewards Card with others for member benefits?

Sharing of the BHG Rewards Card is not encouraged, in case of misappropriation. Cards and points are not transferable.

DATA PROTECTION

  1. Are there any privacy protection measures for my personal information submitted?

All personal data submitted will be kept highly confidential. The personal data of card members will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties except for the purposes stated under the Terms & Conditions and for which consent has been given by the Card Member

  1. If my BHG Rewards Card is taken away by another person, will it be possible for my personal information to be read from the card?

No, the BHG Rewards Card carries no personal information of the Card Member.
